Windkraft und Energieerzeugung
 
           Nach Angaben des Internationalen Wirtschaftsforums Regenerative Energien (IWR) betrug die
           weltweit installierte Leistung der Windanlagen Ende 2000 ca. 17,5 GW. Das waren nur 2,5 %
           der installierten Leistung von Wasserkraftanlagen (693,7 GW).
           Die meisten Windanlagen befanden sich zu jenem Zeitpunkt in folgenden Ländern:
           Deutschland      6070 MW
           USA              2550 MW
           Dänemark         2340 MW
           Spanien          2270 MW
           Andere           4270 MW
           Die weltweite Steigerung der installierten Leistung beträgt aber seit 2000 jährlich ca. 30 %:
           2001             23,0 GW        31,4 %
           2002             29,5 GW        28,3 %
           2003             38,0 GW        28,8 %
           Nach Angaben der World Wind Energy Association war Ende 2006 weltweit schon eine Wind-
           kraftleistung von rund 74 GW installiert. Ende 2007 kletterte dieser Wert bereits auf 94,1 MW
           (Steigerung 27,2%). Die US-Windanlagen sind 2007 um 5,24 GW gewachsen (Steigerung 45 %),
           und haben Ende 2007 eine Gesamtleistung von 16,82 GW erreicht.
           China und Indien beschleunigen nun auch die Entwicklung von Windkraftanlagen.
           Die WWEA erwartet bis Ende 2010 eine weltweit installierte Leistung von 160 GW.
           Die aktuellen Trends deuten nun auf die Errichtung von großen Offshore-Windparks hin.
           Ursprünglich erwartete der Bundesverband WindEnergie bis zum Jahre 2010 eine installierte
           Windkraftleistung von über 22,5 GW in Deutschland. Nun wurde schon bis Ende des Jahres
           2007 eine Leistung von 22,25 GW erreicht.

           According to the data of the “Internationales Wirtschaftsforum Regenerative Energien” (IWR)
           the worldwide installed wind rotors at the end of 2000 had a total power of ca. 17.5 GW.
           These represented only 2.5 % of the installed water power (693.7 GW).
           The most wind power plants were located at that time in the following countries:
           Germany          6070 MW
           USA              2550 MW
           Danmark          2340 MW
           Spain            2270 MW
           Others           4270 MW
           But since 2000 the worldwide installed power is growing at a yearly rate of ca. 30 %:
           2001             23.0 GW        31.4 %
           2002             29.5 GW        28.3 %
           2003             38.0 GW        28.8 %
           According to the World Wind Energy Association has been installed worldwide till to the end
           of 2006 a wind power capacity of 74 GW. In 2007 this value climbed to 94.1 MW (an increase
           of 27.2 %). In 2007 the US industry added about 5,24 GW of wind power (increase of 45 %),
           and at the end of 2006 its total capacity has reached 16,82 GW.
           China and India are now accelerating the development of windpower installations too.
           The WWEA expects 160 GW to be installed worldwide by the end of 2010.
           The newest trends now are going in the direction of very large Offshore-Windparks.
           Originally the “Bundesverband WindEnergie” expected till to the end of 2010 an installed wind
           power of 22.5 GW in Germany. But now there has been reached already at the end of 2007 a
           capacity of 22.25 GW.
